मराठ्यांच्या इतिहासात जर सर्वात उपेक्षित व्यक्तिमत्व कोण असेल तर ती म्हणजे मस्तानी. ती होती तेव्हा पहिल्या बाजीराव पेशव्याची अंगवस्त्र म्हणून तिची हेटाळणी केली गेली. पुण्याच्या कट्टर सनातन्यांनी तिच्यामुळे पेशवा बाजीरावांना देखील प्रचंड त्रास दिला. बाजीरावांच्या मृत्यूनंतर लवकरच तिचेही निधन झालं. तिच्या मृत्युच्याही कथा दंतकथा आजही प्रचलित आहेत.पण आज मस्तानीचे वंशज काय करतात ?
