One of my New Year's Resolutions was to start brewing my own Tonic Syrup. I drink a lot of Kinsey Gin and Tonics, and the store-bought tonic water wasn't cutting it anymore. It's either too sweet (Schweppes, Canada Dry) or too expensive (Fever Tree, Q Tonic). I tried buying gourmet syrup online, but none of it was bitter enough. So... I decided to make my own, and have spent the past few months perfecting the recipe!
Recipe:
1/4 cup of Cinchona Bark
1 pinch of Lemongrass
5-10 Allspice Berries
3 cups of water
1 cup of sugar
1 tbsp Citric Acid
1 tsp salt
