Police responded to Forsythe Middle School in Ann Arbor, Michigan on November 25 over reports of a juvenile stealing a construction vehicle. Officers spotted the stolen vehicle being driven southbound on Brooks Street near Pearl Street. The vehicle stolen was a Genie 17,000-pound GTH-636 Telehandler, equipped with a forklift.
The police pursuit reached speeds of up to 20 miles per hour. Cops say they observed the stolen forklift hitting parked cars during the pursuit. In the footage released by the police, you can hear an officer instructing the boy to "pull over now!" but to no avail. After about an hour-long chase, the boy finally stopped
Police identified the suspect as a 12-year-old boy from Ann Arbor. He was taken into custody and lodged at the juvenile detention center.
