South America is home to some of earth's vicious predators. Many of these predators live near the amazon rainforest. Giant otters and jaguars are one of the top predators in this region. While giant otters rule the Amazon River, the jaguar rules the marshy land. Though the two occupy the same location, they are always enemies. An instance here is when a family of giant otter tries to kill a jaguar.
Giant otters are aquatic apex predators that mainly feed on fish such as catfish. They are the world's largest otters, and live only in the river and creeks of the amazon and Pantanal river systems. Giant otters are rare and social animals that live in groups of up to 8 members. The species are relatively peaceful and territorial but aggression has also been observed in some groups.
Here a jaguar is seen observing the river for a giant otter meal. The jaguar continues observing an otter to catch it. The otter’s family swims toward the jaguar in an attempt to scare it off. The family made their move and scares it off with massive noise.
