Hours after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that India and China had agreed to pull back troops from a bitterly contested area in Ladakh, the Indian Army has now released a video of Indian and Chinese tanks pulling back from the area. Rajnath Singh told Parliament that the agreement had been reached after several rounds of talks between military commanders and diplomats from the two nations. The standoff began in April 2020 when India alleged Chinese troops had intruded deep into its side of the Line of Actual Control or the de facto border in the Ladakh area in the western Himalayas.
