I made this serving tray using an old wine crate and some scrap lumber I had in my shop, but you can easily adapt this project to whatever wood you happen to have. This would be a great project to build using pallet wood, or you could use plywood.

You can also make this with whatever tools you have. Instead of miter joints, you can butt the sides together. You can also glue the bottom panel to the undersides of the frame. Cut the curves with a jigsaw.
