In this video I am going to be teaching you a fantastic breathing technique for labour. You are going to learn how to do up breathing! This is a hypnobirthing technique! Up breathing is a breathing technique for the first stage of labour when your cervix is dilating. It is a great breathing technique to cope with labour pain as things get more intense. Practice your up breathing technique during pregnancy (by yourself as well as with your birth partner). Your birth partner can get fully involved with this labour breathing technique by saying "relax, let go, calm, peace or surrender" to you as you breathe. The more that you practice this hypnobirthing breathing exercise in pregnancy, the easier it will be for you to do it automatically during labour. I also recommend that you practice the up breathing technique 3 times a day (5 lots of up breathing each time you practice) so get started with your breathing technique for labour today!
