(22 Apr 2016) Indonesia's President Joko Widodo on Friday said he intended to scale back regulations to encourage international investment.
He made the remarks at a business forum with Indonesian and Dutch business leaders as part to his visit to the Netherlands.
Widodo is the first leader of the former Dutch colony to visit the Netherlands since 2000, when then president Abdurraham Wahid made the trip.
In 2010, Widodo's predecessor Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono cancelled a visit at the last minute amid moves by a separatist group to have him arrested for alleged human rights violations.
