Prawn here with a quick tips video for @Enshroudedgame. At the time of making this video there seems to be a cap of level 25 on your character. This means that not matter what you do you cannot earn extra XP from the usual activities like mining, killing enemies and other things.

However, I have found that it's possible to get more skill points if you haven't yet dealt with Shroud Roots and Elixir wells. Kill those pesky things and you can get more!
WOOT.

You might, however, need to upgrade your flame altar first if you haven't already in order to get access to some of them.
