The ASP Portugal has been and gone, and the main stories are that Carissa Moore was crowned the women's champion (woop woop!) Mick Fanning and Kelly Slater suffered early exits so the title race is still on.
But the news that we are really interested in is; Joel Parkinson got a bitch slap from a local Portuguese body boarder...fueling the the slightly warmer embers of the riff between surfers and body boarders after the Wassel, Duval affair. Kelly Slater got all grumpy with a photographer, and lost, and Carissa Moore stuck to all her critics from last year by retaining her women's ASP world title.
