I had a much bigger and potentially more interesting video lined up, but because I haven't uploaded anything this month (I was busy with exams, so I couldn't make anything to upload), I decided to put this part into its own video. Here's the rest, where I upgrade this Windows XP installation all the way up to Windows 10: [ Ссылка ]
The hard disk was set to AHCI instead of compatibility, which would normally not work with Windows XP, but the original recovery disks come with the AHCI driver. Also, it's pre-activated, so I don't have to activate it manually like in my other video.
If you are installing Windows XP these days, you should also install the unofficial Service Pack 4: [ Ссылка ]
then install the latest Internet Explorer 8 cumulative security update (KB4493435 as of the date of this video), and finally install the remaining updates on Windows Update.
Remember that Windows XP's support ended in April 2014 and POSready 2009 (other version of XP)'s support ended in April 2019.
