Be a part of Northern Territory tradition and visit Darwin’s oldest market! Located in the heart of the northern suburbs, about 10km from Darwin CBD, the Rapid Creek Markets are open from 7am – 2pm every Saturday and Sunday – rain, hail or shine.

Transforming the Rapid Creek Business Village into a bustling slice of Asia, the market delivers a vibrant experience of bright colours, rich aromas and exciting sounds. With more than 100 market stalls and stores, there’s plenty for you to see, do and discover!

You can explore (and taste) an amazing array of organic and tropical produce, including Asian fruits and vegetables such as durian, purple dragon fruit, pandan leaf and drumstick pods, plus a selection of dried or preserved goods from Asia and parts of Africa.

You will also find a great variety of items that would be perfect as a gift or souvenir. There are local arts and crafts, jewellery, exotic plants, home-made chutneys and jams, plus health and beauty products and services.

And when you’re finished exploring and shopping, how about a treat? Perhaps a much needed massage? Or a visit to our Street Food Park for a cool tropical smoothie and authentic tastes of Asia? Dishes like home-cooked Laksa or Thai noodles to Sri Lankan curry or roti wraps! Just pick your favourite, grab a table and enjoy the live music while you eat.
