A reminder that not every creative or painting session has to be an elaborate and serious one.
Something I could take on myself at the moment as I have been avoiding my creative work because a large painting I started a few weeks ago sits front and centre in my studio, looming impatiently for my return. Like an intimidating tangible piece of evidence of my own creative resistance.
Maybe I’m not ready to jump into the big painting again (I know the time will come), but forgiving myself for that and showing up and doing something less intimidating with no attachment to the outcome will keep filling me up and fuelling my journey as I ride this creative ebb and flow.
What do you need to forgive yourself for this week and embrace life’s ebb and flow? Let me know in the comments, or send me a DM !
Take care, Sam x
