Afternoon tea has been a longstanding tradition at The Peninsula Manila since this Makati 5 star hotel opened its doors in September 1976. On this Manila staycation, we're at the famous lobby of The Peninsula Hotel, one of the most photographed and picturesque luxury hotel lobbies in Metro Manila, and although The Peninsula lobby is open for all-day dining, one must try on their staycation to try the afternoon tea, even if like yours truly doesn't know how nor is patrician enough to do afternoon tea properly. The Peninsula Manila's afternoon tea is especially known for its specialty tea blends made in house by its own tea masters and the afternoon tea menu is subject to change but what is a constant on The Peninsula's afternoon tea is the scones. Also included in this afternoon tea are finger sandwiches, quiches, banana bread, macaroons, and little cakes.
