When you visit Dominican Republic it is easy to just book an all inclusive, and while I loved my experience it is definitely worth it to explore the north coast of the Dominican Republic and not visit just Punta Cana or Puerto Plata. Experiencing places like the digital nomad paradise of Cabarete by staying at El Magnifico and escaping the businesses of the town of Sosua and Cabarete with an ecolodge located on its' own private beach was exactly the experience I needed after the party nature of Punta Cana and the busy city of Santo Domingo.
