The family of Maine shooting suspect Robert Card reached out to the sheriff’s office back in May, concerned about his mental health. The sheriff’s office contacted officials with Card’s army reserve unit who assured deputies they would get him medical attention. A fellow soldier reported that he was afraid Card was going to commit a mass shooting.
