What is your true self? Who are you and where do you come from – really? In today’s video I want to answer these questions from a spiritual perspective and get to the root of your genuine and authentic self. And, yes, we'll be talking about the soul, that part of you which is eternal and untouchable. It resides in the spirit world. Yet, how can we know it if we don't remember it? Now if our authentic self is the soul, then who are we? and how did we get here? For sure, we, are a part of the soul, but not all of it. In essence, we’ve agreed to be a human being on earth and have our memoried deleted. So the memories of all our previous incarnations and our existence as a soul in the spirit world are wiped out when we are born. The result is that we grow up completely identifying with our bodies and minds, believe them to be our total existence. This does not allow us to do what we need, which is becoming your true self.

But in fact, we are multidimensional and much more powerful than we think. I just told you that your true self, your soul, exists in the spirit world. Knowing this may lead you to ask, if my true self is my soul in the spirit world, then who am I in this life? Tom answers that question by saying that all of us are simply free will awareness units. We are a portion of the soul that has been partitioned off to be a human being. In other words, we’re playing an avatar in a very cool, realistic and fully immersive virtual reality game.

You see, Tom and I both believe that reality can best be explained by the simulation argument. What’s important to understand is that when your life ends here and you return to the spirit world, are you not exactly the same person. Soon after we die and transition to the spirit world, we quickly forget all about the life we just lived. That life fades away, just as dreams do. This is the process of shedding the persona and merging back with the soul. So how to discover your true self?

This concept is one of the more difficult things to talk about. Not because it’s difficult to understood, but because we want people who pass away to always remain who they are. But our reality doesn’t work that way. Once a person dies and the persona dissolves, that part of them is gone forever. It is simply no longer needed. In fact, the soul will eventually create a new persona and begin again. But this doesn’t mean the data of that persona is lost. On the contrary, it all gets stored in the database and can be reviewed by anyone at any time. And if you don’t believe in simulation theory, we can just say the information is recorded forever in the mind of God.

Now let’s turn our attention back to the original question - what are we like as a soul? Is our personality now the same as our soul in the spirit world? If we’ve lived a hundred earthly lives, are we a mix of all those people? What shapes the character and personality of our soul, because the soul is our true, authentic self. Well, I can tell you that a large part of your personality now is the same as your soul. This is because consciousness is the same, whether expressed through the soul or through a human body.

None of us are exactly like we are as a soul in the spirit world. This is simply because our human existence is influenced by all the factors I previously mentioned, like our upbringing and the society we live in. So how can we know our true self? First, I need to tell you it’s not necessary to know. Second, if you really want to, you can discover it by simply using your mind. But most people will never be able to do it because it requires years of meditation practice. If you can ever reach a place where you can drop all your fears, and all your ego, even if for a minute, and truly be honest and open with yourself, then you may just realize your true self. Living your true self is the goal and you can get there.
