What is Angelman Syndrome? The question everyone wants to know the answer to. This short film gives you an insight into what somebody with Angelman Syndrome is like and how it affects the individuals and their family or carers on a daily basis.
This rare genetic disorder affects families across the world and is often recognised by the persons very smiley and happy behaviour.
The UK based Angelman Syndrome Support, Education & Research Trust (AngelmanUK - formerly ASSERT) has created a series of films to help explain what Angelman Syndrome is, how it occurs and how it affects daily life. This film is the first, we hope it helps raise awareness, and supports families affected by Angelman Syndrome.
Thank you to all those who shared their stories and smiles in the film.
