Another conversation on our live with @coachjoeljamieson about training and nutrition to achieve results.
While putting in effort and consistency is important to create the changes you want in health and fitness (and with that will come some discomfort), if you’re struggling because you’re using every ounce of willpower to “eat the right foods” and you’re “always sore and tired” from your training, then it’s almost for sure that you’ll fall off the wagon and not be able to maintain it.
Also, for MOST people that come to see us, that’s not the goal. They want to look, feel, and perform better, make their every day lives better.
As coaches we have to make sure we don’t project our goals onto our clients. We have to really listen and understand the wants and needs of our clients, and then develop programs that help them achieve those targets.
For fit pro’s it may be more fun to “crush legs” but for a client, having 4 days of soreness may affect their every day life in a negative way. Which is why coaching is science and art, finding the right dose for each person to help them progress but also not make them feel like health and fitness are something that makes you feel worse.
