A ghazal in Raag Yaman is just like a sweet dish after a heavy dinner. Ustad Amanat Ali Khan And Ustad Fateh Ali Khan are the prime examples of this statement. Born in undivided India, they learnt their music from the keyholders of Patiala Gharana. During the partition, they decided to stay in Pakistan and continued their music there. In 1952, they gave their first concert in India and gained followers here. In 1972, Amanat Ali Khan Sahab died at a short age of 42 years. This made Bade Fateh Ali Khan Sahab break. For 2 years, he didn't sing but in 1976, he continued his music legacy along with his son and his brother Late Amanat Ali Khan's sons as well. Fateh Ali Khan Sahab died in Feb 2017 in Pakistan only. This recording is a tribute to the legendary brother duo from my side.

This is one of my favourite Ghazals sung by Amanat Ali Khan Sahab. This album was released on a mono stereo; reviving its record was not easy. I have tried my best to revive this record quality. So, please forgive me if there's any mistake in recording this ghazal.
