This is a tutorial on how to enable and disable screen auto-rotate on the Samsung Galaxy A14. Auto-rotate is a useful feature that automatically adjusts your screen orientation based on the orientation of your device.
However, sometimes you may want to disable it to prevent the screen from rotating when you don't want it to.
On the Galaxy phones, the auto-rotate option is called "Portrait" and is named as such when the option is disabled. Once you enable it, it turns to "Auto-rotate".
In this video, we will show you step-by-step how to enable and disable screen auto-rotate on your Samsung Galaxy A14. We will cover the settings and options you need to access, so you can easily turn auto-rotate on or off whenever you need to.
Whether you're using your phone for work or play, this tutorial will help you make the most of your Samsung Galaxy A14. So, grab your phone and follow along as we guide you through the process of enabling and disabling screen auto-rotate.
Enabling Screen Auto-Rotate on Samsung Galaxy A14
To enable screen auto-rotate on your Samsung Galaxy A14, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification shade.
Step 2: Find the "Portrait" shortcut and tap on it. The name should turn to "Auto-rotate" and you should now be able to rotate your screen.
Once you've completed these steps, your Samsung Galaxy A14 will automatically rotate the screen depending on the orientation of the device.
However, the auto-rotate will only apply in-app, meaning that you will only be able to rotate the screen when you're using an app. The auto-rotate will not apply to the home screen.
Disabling Screen Auto-Rotate on Samsung Galaxy A14
If you find that screen auto-rotate is more of a nuisance than a helpful feature, you can easily disable it on your Samsung Galaxy A14. Follow the steps below to turn off screen auto-rotate:
Step 1: Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification shade.
Step 2: Find the "Auto-rotate" shortcut and tap on it. The name should turn to "Portrait" and auto-rotate will be disabled.
After completing these steps, your Samsung Galaxy A14 will no longer rotate the screen automatically.
Auto-Rotate the Home Screen
To rotate the homes screen, there's an extra setting you need to enable on top of the auto-rotate.
Step 1: After tapping on the "Portrait" icon to enable auto-rotate, go to the Settings app on your Galaxy A14.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap on the "Home Screen" option.
Step 3: Find the "Rotate to landscape mode" option and tap on the toggle button to enable auto-rotate on the home screen.
You will now be able to rotate the home screen in addition to the apps screens on your Samsung Galaxy A14.
To disable the auto-rotating home screen, you can tap on the "Rotate to landscape mode" toggle button once again.
