Economists have called the Social Cost of Carbon (SCC) "the most important figure you've never heard of". It is a metric law makers use to estimate the damage caused by greenhouse gases and create policies to regulate emissions. Therefore, way the SCC is calculated has a profound effect on how our business operations impact the environment.
