(21 Aug 2018) Supporters of Oleg Sentsov, who is imprisoned in Russia on a terrorism conviction, protested outside the Russian embassy in Kiev on Tuesday, to mark the Ukrainian filmmaker's 100th day on hunger strike.
The rally was attended by around 50 people, including his sister, who carried banners calling for the release of Sentsov.
Sentsov is demanding that he and 64 other Ukrainians who he considers political prisoners be released.
The case has attracted considerable international attention, with Western nations campaigning for his release.
Earlier in August, Sentsov's lawyer Dmitry Dinze said he has become increasingly frail and now has a low haemoglobin level.
The Russian authorities denied those claims.
Sentsov, an opponent of Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea, was sentenced to 20 years in 2015.
