Teknic's new line of integrated servos, called ClearPath, combine a brushless servo motor, a high-resolution encoder, an AC vector servo drive and a controller all into one compact package. ClearPath servos can be economically used in place of steppers, AC Induction, DC brush, and non-integrated servo motors up to 1.3 hp peak, all while providing significant performance advantages.
These integrated motors have a sophisticated auto-tuning algorithm as well as several unique, dedicated modes further simplifying setup and integration -- one mode is called "Move to Absolute Position (2 positions)". Using simple I/O, trigger ClearPath to move to one of the two preset positions. Perfect for replacing air cylinders that move between two positions, but where more power and finesse is needed.
