The new 2024 Kia EV9 GT-Line is an impressive three-row SUV that embraces the transition to an all-electric future. The GT-Line offers a powerful all-wheel-drive setup with a dual-motor arrangement, delivering a combined 385 horsepower. In Boost mode, it achieves quick acceleration, reaching 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds, a notable performance for its class. In terms of range and battery options, the GT-Line comes with a 99.8-kWh battery, providing an estimated 497 km of range. The 800-volt electrical architecture allows for rapid DC fast-charging, adding up to 249 km of range in just 15 minutes, with a maximum charging speed of 230 kW. The interior of the EV9 GT-Line offers flexibility with options for six or seven passengers, depending on the configuration of the second row. The power-folding third row is a convenient feature, and the second-row captain's chairs, available on upper trim levels, come with heating, ventilation, and massaging functions. Cargo space is substantial, with 571 litres behind the third row and up to 2314 litres with both rear rows folded flat. Infotainment is modernized with dual 12.3-inch screens, one for the gauge cluster and the other for infotainment, though physical knobs are notably absent. Safety features are comprehensive, including standard automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist. The GT-Line introduces a hands-free driving mode bundled with advanced adaptive cruise control, setting it apart from other variants.
