The public in Western countries have been "propagandized" into believing "manufactured" allegations about northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, according to a Canadian social media influencer, who warned that pushing such narratives can lead to dire consequences such as the infamous U.S. claim of 'weapons of mass destruction' in Iraq.
Daniel Dumbrill, a Shenzhen-based business owner and online commentator, recently held an online panel discussion which gathered several experts to dissect some of the claims of a so-called 'genocide' in Xinjiang. Video of a speech made by Dumbrill during this meeting was later broadcast at the regular press conference of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In an interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN) on Monday, Dumbrill said that people have been 'propagandized' into believing the accusations about Xinjiang, and said anyone who questions this western narrative is labeled as a 'genocide denier'
