In this video I show the operation a precision one piece worm assembly for the Losmandy G11 telescope mount. The design allows for variable spring pressure via two spring plungers. The cam lever is used to rotate the worm away from the ring gear, allowing free rotation of the axis for positioning and balancing the scope, etc. The design has an integral depth stop. Depth adjustment, if desired, is made by rotating the cam lever screw with a screwdriver while holding the lever in position.
