Piccolo has taken Gohan to train him under his regimen, and after the 6 months of surviving alone in the wilderness, Piccolo started teaching him how to fight.
After a couple of spars, Gohan is acknowledged by Piccolo for not being a Spoiled little crybaby anymore.
Hearing this, Gohan returns the favor in complimenting Piccolo for not being such a bad guy as he pretends to be, and definitely not as bad as the old Piccolo.
Piccolo is a bit touched by this, and tells the kid to Shut Up and get some Sleep.
