After several months of chicken shortage in Malaysia, the situation has stabilised. Agriculture and Food Industries Minister Ronald Kiandee told parliament the country faces an oversupply now. He added that other policies implemented, such as imposing a price ceiling as well as importing chickens from other countries, have helped to stabilise prices chicken prices in the country. Malaysia, which supplies live chickens mainly to neighbouring Singapore, halted exports in June.
