Episode 9 - Experiencing the sacred death ceremony in Varanasi in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. We take the boat out of the Holy Ganges river to reflect on our journey.

We tried to book into a better class of train for the overnight sleeper (we even thought about booking first class ) But alas things went wrong so the journey was another slog.

BUT... once we arrived we could instantly tell we were in a very holy and important place within the culture and religion of India.

As unkowning westerners we witnessed the 'Ganga Aarti Ceremony' The burning of the bodies next to the river. Which left us speechless and taught us so much about life and death.
