On Oct. 22, 2019, HIST 151-02 students visited the David Owsley Museum of Art to choose artifacts for their Ancient Artifact Podcast. Students composed 4-6 minute podcasts on items like Chinese grave goods, cuneiform receipts, a Ganesha stela, an Aphrodite statue, and many other artifacts from across the ancient world. Students combined research and analytical skills to put their objects in context and reveal the world that created and used them.
In this episode, Chance Morgan analyzes a Greek wine krater (480 BCE) used at drinking parties.
