DELAWARE COUNTY (Ken Hines) -- Church officials have been ordered to pay millions of dollars to a victim who was repeatedly sexually assaulted by a former pastor.A civil jury awarded the unidentified victim and her father $3.6 million on Tuesday, 5 years after they sued Grace Brethren Church in connection with the crimes.Former Grace Brethren pastor Brian Williams admitted to sexually assaulting the then 15-year-old victim during counseling sessions at the church. Williams is currently serving an eight year prison sentence.The victim said she is happy church leaders are being held responsible for failing to supervise Williams.I just like how the church is accountable for everything they covered up in the past, so they are held accountable now, she said.Church officials released a statement saying they accept the jury's verdict, but respectfully disagree with the decision.
