On this video, we finally made it out from Texas (after Guadalupe Mountains National Park) into Carlsbad, New Mexico - a new state after two months in Texas.
We went to Carlsbad Caverns National Park, not too far from the Texas border. Visiting Carlsbad Caverns has been on our to do list for so long.
Inside the Caverns, some 750 feet below the surface, we were exploring the Big Room - a large limestone chamber of almost 4,000 feet (1,220 m) long, 625 feet (191 m) wide, and 255 feet (78 m) high at its highest point.
We stay at the Sunset Reef Campground, a Bureau of Land Management parcel that is located not too far from the Carlsbad Cavern. Check out this article on where to find free places to boondock for your next trip.
