Budae-jjigae a.k.a "Army Base Stew." It's a spicy, savory, Korean-American fusion dish made from SPAM, Hotdogs, kimchee, baked beans, ramen, gochujang. This recipe is straight from Anthony Bourdain's cookbook. You definitely need to try this if you love noodles.

INGREDIENTS
1 dried shiitake mushroom
4 large dried anchovies (head and guts removed, wrapped in cheese cloth)
3x5-inch sheet of kombu or kelp
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
12 oz SPAM sliced
1 1/2 cups of kimchi
8 oz korean rice cakes
1 onion
2 scallions
5 garlic cloves
3 hot dogs
8 oz ground pork
3 tb soy sauce
2 tb gochujang
3 tb korean red pepper powder
3 tb cheongju (Korean rice wine)
3 tb baked beans
1 pack ramen (korean brand)

Instructions
Make anchovy broth using 4 cups of water, salt, anchovies, shiitake and kelp. Boil then simmer for 30 minutes

Place all ingredients (except ramen) into a wide pot. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add the ramen and cook until noodles are done (about 4 more minutes).
