Next up we have Hideyoshi! The Naginata offers a unique trait in having aerial strings. I feel that the air combat with the Naginata is pretty weak and underwhelming overall though. One main reason is the air hyper attack doesn't activate elements so it's very weak compared to the ground version, and also the air combat options in general are not that strong and slow to return to the ground, which makes it difficult to combat how the enemies can tech out of juggle combos. The ground combat for the Naginata however is actually pretty strong and you can rely on it and ignore the air combat completely for maximum effeciency.
S string is bare bones. You use it just to get to your charge of choice
ST - One of his EX attacks, it forces you into the air and deals low damage. Probably his worst charge attack.
SST - A stun attack with a large hit area. This move is pretty strong though lengthy. Good for racking up the combo counter on a crowd of enemies and getting a boss stunned.
SSST - A quick decent damage hitting option. Not amazing, but it's speed makes it practical in some settings.
SSSST - One of his best charge attack options a good crowd control and damage tool.
SSSSST - His other EX attack option. This is really strong against officers and works effectively as a tech trap in itself as the enemy will tech the first launch and fall into the flurry in which you can cancel into an assortment of options to stagger or finish the enemy.
Overall it's not a bad weapon, but it's air combat gimmick heavily under performs with how this game is designed.
