The Ogun state police command has arrested two suspected kidnappers allegedly responsible for many kidnappings and killings in Ijebu Igbo and its surrounding areas in the Ijebu North local government area. Five other members of the gang are still at large. According to the state commissioner of police, Abiodun Alamutu, this seven-man gang was responsible for the kidnapping and killing of a 71-year-old man and a 37-year-old man, burying them in shallow graves at two different locations.
Leading officers and health officials to the bushes where the victims were buried, the commissioner of police assured residents that the law would catch up with the fleeing gang members.
