In 2024, locomotives painted in the classic Burlington Northern paint scheme have become hard to find on BNSF freight trains. Seeing two of these locomotives on one train is a very unusual occurrence. In the spring of 2024, BNSF placed former Burlington Northern locomotives 3009 and 2092 together on freight trains north of Everett. I caught up with these locomotives on two different occasions and filmed them as they passed through the scenic countryside of the Pacific Northwest. In this video, we will follow 3009 and 2092 as they pull freight trains on the BNSF Sumas and Bellingham Subdivisions.
