Heather Morris paid tribute to her late Glee co-star Naya Rivera on the fourth anniversary of Rivera’s death. In a heartfelt Instagram post featuring a black and white photo of them cuddling on a bed, Morris expressed disbelief at the passage of time and the enduring pain of Rivera's loss. She reminisced about their shared experiences on the show, highlighting their close bond.
Rivera, 33, drowned while swimming during a boat ride with her four-year-old son. Morris, who starred alongside Rivera for six seasons, cherished their on-screen romance as cheerleaders Brittany Pierce and Santana Lopez. Morris conveyed a sense of Rivera's enduring presence, saying she still feels Rivera's guidance.
Rivera's career included her notable role on Glee from 2009-2015, earning a Screen Actors Guild Award, an ALMA Award, and Grammy nominations. She appeared in films like The Master of Disguise and At the Devil’s Door. Rivera married Ryan Dorsey in 2014 and had a child in 2015. She was reported missing on July 8, 2020, after her son was found alone on a rented boat in Lake Piru, CA. Rivera’s body was discovered on July 13. During the search, Morris organized rescue efforts and later shared an emotional tribute to her friend.
