Chebab is a traditional Emirati pancake usually served with cheese, honey and date syrup. This delicacy is usually served for breakfast, evening tea and also during special occasions.
Follow, these easy, step by step recipe to make soft, spongy and immensely delicious chebabs. If you are someone with a sweet –tooth, then be prepared to fall in love with these golden pancakes with a saffron and cardamom twist.
Ingredients: -
All- purpose flour 1 cup
Milk powder 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Ground cardamom 1 tsp
Dry yeast ½ tbsp
Baking powder ½ tsp
Salt ¼ tsp
Egg 1
Saffron ½ tsp soaked in 2 tbsp warm water
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
Warm water 1 cup, (+ 2 tbsp saffron soaked water)
Butter For cooking & topping
