Have you 3D Printed a prototype part and are ready for production? Then your next step should be Injection Molding!
Injection molding is the best option for high volume low waste production of plastic parts. With 3D printing the production cost stays the same per part regardless of how many parts you make, but if you're making more than a couple parts this becomes incredibly costly. With Injection Molding the piece part goes down the higher the volume is. You can also prototype with injection molding, getting the actual part at the end of production instead of a prototype part. It can be made in the material you need and in the volume you need the first time.
Plastic Design International uses a high-press tonnage injection molding systems, which are capable of molding parts up to 12″ by 12″ and puts out up to 385 tons of force. This equipment can work with most conventional plastics and polymers, including ABS injection molding, nylon, polyurethane, polypropylene, acrylics, glass-filled nylon, HTPE/LDPE, polystyrene, and others. Shots of 10 grams to 676 grams of PS are possible, with a maximum of 16 cavities per mold.
Plus all of their fabrication facilities are ISO 9001:2015, QS, RoHS, WEEE, IPC 1752, and ITAR compliant!
With PDI as your plastic injection molding company, you will always meet your supply requirements.
