Originally designed in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel, the Egg Chair’s statement silhouette has become instantly recognisable worldwide and an icon for design enthusiasts.

Highly sculptural with broad shoulders and sweeping curves, the design broke conventions of traditional furniture design, with Arne Jacobsen discovering its form through experimentation with wire and plaster.

In celebration of Fritz Hansen’s 150th year, the Danish brand has introduced Jacobsen’s boundary-breaking design with an exclusive chestnut leather upholstery and black PVD base.
