Flying a 3D Printed Glider off North Table Mountain in Golden, CO
Easy to carry whole in a back country snowboarding pack - fit perfect.

I have been mountain biking past this spot for years and always wanted to throw a plane off and see how it flies. Hawks, crows and eagles are a common sight catching the rising air. Good experience for a new spot and I had a great time, good hike, will have to do more videos from this cliff face. Lots of easy flat areas to land... just takes 40 minutes to hike up. Might be time for an e-bike.


Glider specs in video:
Pika (Roughgen V2 - V-Tail version)
Airfoil: MH32
Wingspan: 1.2M (48")
Flying weight = 530g
with the following construction
Polymaker LW PLA- fuse and tail fins
PETG nose cone and radio tray
eSun LW PLA (foaming) for wing panels
7mm x 5mm x 1000mm tube spar, 2mm rod longerons, 1 x 4mm else where.
4 cell AA NiMh radio battery (115g)

This is a carbon reinforced wing that is 3D printed, and is pared with whichever fuselage design your choose. Designed for speed and rough terrain landing. Based on performance and F3F competition models of the past 30 years, but as a 3D print-able version. Flies like a molded airframe, but 3D printed... so if you crash it, print another. Material are less than $20 for the whole airframe.
