The goal of the BMW M5 is to appear like a mundane midsize banker's car while being a veritable rocket that can reach a peak speed of over 200 mph and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around three seconds. And it's a mission it does exceptionally well.
The sixth-generation M5, which defied convention, dropped the manual gearbox and went with all-wheel drive instead of the traditional rear-wheel drive configuration. Eventually, fans pulled out their knives, mostly because it wasn't horrible. However, BMW could be preparing even more drastic modifications for the next model, which should arrive soon.

BMW has confirmed there will be an M5 Touring wagon
In June 2023, BMW declared that it is working on an M5 Touring wagon version for the next 2024 model. In the nearly 40-year history of the M5, this will be just BMW's third wagon type, and the first since the V10 E61 M5 went out of production in 2010.
Will the M5 Touring visit America is the question. BMW made the decision not to launch the M3 Touring in the United States. However, America represents a sizable market for BMW, especially for its M division. And there are enough purchasers of high-performance wagons priced at $100,000 or more to maintain Mercedes-AMG and Audi's positions in the market.
BMW may or may not decide to do the same in America. However, we have a cautious optimism.
Will there be an electric BMW M5?
