For our friends not speaking Mizo, here is a quick summary of the review.
The Tvs RTR 310 is the top of the line naked bike offered by Tvs
- Engine:
It come with a 312 cc reverse inclined engine. The engine has a pretty good amount of power, even though it isn"t the most powerful engine in the segment, it holds its own pretty well against its competitors, the engine is pretty well built, however, it gives off a little bit of vibration which can be felt on the pegs and the handlebars, but it is not a deal-breaker. the slipper clutch and assist clutch works really good.
- Handling
The suspension components are top-notch, the reverse inclined engine creates more space at the front, allowing the rake angle to be more upright, which in turn gives a fantastic handling bike, the michellin road 5's are also a sweet bonus to this. The radially mounted calipers and adjustable brake and clutch levers all add up to the fine build quality of this bike.
- Electronics and features
This bike comes with a large assortment of features, Ride modes, quickshifter and auto blipper, traction control, dynamic headlight, connectivity, etc. Of all these features, our favorite has to be the up and down quickshifter, we were genuinely surprised how good it worked even in lower RPMs. The 5 ride modes offer various settings for power outputs, urban and rain gave power earlier in the rev range however lack a top end power, while sports and track made a more linear torque curve, giving peak power in the top end of the rev range, the supermoto mode simply, turns off the rear abs. Overall the electronics package is pretty useful even for the average rider and the interface makes it easy enough to navigate through them.
- Looks and ergonomics
The looks of a bike is always subjective, we however love the looks. we have heard others saying it looks a bit too busy, that's not the case for us, we feel that the styling of the bike hits the mark perfectly. Ergonomics wise, the seating position is pretty comfortable, the bars are pretty wide, giving good leverage of the motorcycle. the footpegs however are a bit too low and front for spirited riding, it drags a bit when you attack corners really aggressively.
- Conclusion
The TVS Apache RTR is another fine example of the influence of BMW motorrad x Tvs partnership, the components are top notch and we feel that this is a pretty good value for money considering all the features that this bike comes with.
