It's really interesting that a legacy is both post-humous, obviously, when somebody dies, but also it's contemporary.
For me, I want to leave this legacy of just being able to really care about the future and the people that I don't see and the planet that I'm on. That I have the privilege and honor to be on for such a short amount of time.
I mean we don't, you don't even know, when the end of your life is going to be and so ummm it's living with that intentionality each day not even just in how you treat the people who are closest to you, but also how you treat strangers and umm how you influence those people that you might never see again.
At the end of the day if I lose all of the materialistic things, if I'm a horrible person it doesn't make a difference.
Legacies for the younger generations now more and more, have to do with just intrinsically investing in other people. It's not so me oriented, like, what did I build? What did I do? But what can I do in other people's lives.
I think not just my our kids, but I think coworkers and my family and my parents. I, I think it's not just the legacy that you leave down, but it's also up and and to all sides.
I think through that lens of being adopted I have the unique availability to kind of start a legacy fresh. I don't have a lot of history behind me so my stories kind of what I make it, which is both exciting and terrifying at the same time.
I feel like a legacy doesn't have to be something that's umm extravagant, like, necessarily portrayed throughout all of the world and remembered by everybody, but touches personal lives.
My mom and my grandma and my tia and umm just all of those women in my life have really paved the way for me.
The legacy that my grandparents left is being able to have a life here in America for me and my family. Yea, they just worked really hard umm to make sure that we were set up to have something better.
I have a responsibility I feel to really do as much as I can with all the hard work they did. That my life is really the arrow. They were busy making the bow.
Definitely uh Wills and Trusts and ev that is all a very valuable part of what you want to leave, but legacies and who you are, you know, and the memory of who you are and what you did, and what you want to pass on is what I think about a lot.
If I have the opportunity and privilege to leave a big legacy behind that's great, but you know, I just really wanna just have a legacy with my loved ones.
