in this video I will show you how I breed and propagate my apple snail, one of my favorite snails in the fresh water aquarium hobby,
why? because apple snails are one of those good looking snails.
easy to breed because there is no need to gender them, just put two pcs of them or more inside an aquarium and they will breed .
Apple/mystery snails are
Ampullariidae, common name the apple snails, is a family of large freshwater snails, aquatic gastropod mollusks with a gill and an operculum. This family is in the superfamily Ampullarioidea and is the type family of that superfamily.
The Ampullariidae are unusual because they have both a gill and a lung, with the mantle cavity being divided in order to separate the two types of respiratory structures. This adaptation allows these snails to be amphibious.
This family is considered to be gonochoristic unlike some others. This means that in order to breed, a male and female snail are needed.
