1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 egg whites
2 tablespoons Shaoxing rice wine (or dry sherry)
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons gochujang
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Canola, peanut or vegetable oil for frying
1 cup flour
1/4 cup corn starch
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds (optional garnish)
3 scallions, thinly sliced (optional garnish)
