Two billion of the world's poor depend on small-scale farming and agroforestry. Climate change exacerbates their vulnerability but also positions them as key allies in ecosystem conservation and climate mitigation. Many already use eco-friendly, low or negative-carbon methods, which need recognition and reward for a climate-resilient, sustainable future.
The Climate Action for Smallholders (CASH) Coalition was established in 2023 to enable smallholders to benefit economically from their sustainable practices.
