A Concord man was arrested in Rowan County after new evidence identified him as the suspect in a child sex abuse investigation in Statesville, police said.
Statesville police were notified of possible abuse involving a young child in December 2019. After interviewing the victim and collecting evidence, detectives were unable to prosecute the case due to the child's age and information that was disclosed publicly.
