The Allianz Arena is a football stadium in Munich, Germany that has a seating capacity of 70,000. It was built in 2005, and Bayern play its home games in that stadium since the 2005-2006 season of the Bavarian club. It hosted the 2012 Champions League final for the first time, when Chelsea and the home team, Bayern, faced each other, and Chelsea won its first Champions League title there. The stadium will host the 2025 Champions League final for the first time in 13 years. It is also the second largest stadium in Germany after Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park (Westfalenstadion). It was also the home stadium of 1860 Munich from 2005-2017. Outside football, the stadium hosted the first-ever regular season NFL (National Football League) American football game as part of the NFL International Series in 2022. There were four matches that were held in the stadium during Euro 2020, three group stage matches and one quarter-final match, and in the upcoming Euros, there are three group stage matches, including the opening match that was mentioned above, one round of 16 match, and one semi-final match, with a total of five matches.
